The name Kim Mathers, Eminem's ex-wife, is familiar to many of us. But it just so happened that not by her will. The most controversial and tough texts of the rapper, which once attracted the American public, were "fueled" precisely by these relationships, which lasted more than twenty years. On his new record, Revival, Eminem dedicates a good part of the album to his ex-wife, telling a story about her on tracks such as "Remind Me" (and its intro) and "Bad Husband", and also draws a parallel to his relationship with Kim on some other tracks on the album.

Despite their far from perfect union, there was a passion between them, thanks to which they stayed together for two whole decades, gave birth to a child and even adopted two more. But what is real story Kim?

All this time we've seen the story of the Michigan girl through her eyes. ex-husband, through the prism of his aggressive lyrics. Therefore, we propose to analyze this confusing story in more detail.

early years

Kim Mathers was born in 1975 in Warren, Michigan and was one of the twin sisters born to Caitlin Slack. Although not much is known about the girl's childhood, information about her teenage life begins to emerge from the moment she met Eminem in 1987 - then just Marshall.

Kim first met Eminem at thirteen, at a party with mutual friends. The girl was fascinated by a fifteen-year-old boy who rapped while standing right on the table. - the song “I’m Bad” by rapper LL Cool J. Love immediately broke out between teenagers and soon Kim, along with her twin sister, ran away from home to live with Marshall and his mother Debbie Mathers.

In parallel with their romance, which lasted throughout the 90s, Eminem worked tirelessly on his career, began participating in rap battles in the famous Detroit Hip-Hop-Shop. And soon the aspiring rapper caught the attention of a producer named Mark Bass, who really wanted to work with a young guy full of determination and a desire to succeed.

Marshall and Kim's affairs seemed to be on the mend, and then they were overtaken by an unexpected event - Kim suddenly became pregnant.

Birth of Haley Jade Scott-Mathers

Kim's unplanned pregnancy came as a shock to Eminem, but despite this, the young guy did everything to support Kim and their child. By the time Hailey was born, on Christmas Day 1995, Eminem was working sixty-hour weeks, and it almost killed his then-untiled rapping career.

According to Mazur, one of Eminem's former colleagues at work, he suddenly turned from a slow-moving slacker to a super-exemplary worker with exceptional enthusiasm: ends."

Although Kim herself never mentioned this difficult period of her life, it is important to note that this is when the couple's relationship began to falter.

Life from hand to mouth with a small child in her arms was the "last straw" of Marshall's patience, whose ambitions literally seethed. This was the reason for their first breakup in 1996. Eminem returned to his mother, and Kim and her daughter returned to a one-room apartment.

It was during this period that Em created his violent alter ego, Slim Shady, and poured out all his anger, frustration, and resentment in now-infamous songs about Kim, including "97 Bonnie and Clyde" ("We're like Bonnie and Clyde in 1997).

In this violent song, Slim tells how he takes his young daughter Hailey and goes to dispose of Kim's corpse by throwing it into the lake. The worst thing was that Hayley's voice was on the track. When Kim heard the songs, she was beside herself with rage.

“That day, I lied to Kim, said I would take Hailey to Chuck E. Cheese, and I drove her to the studio. When she found out that I used my daughter to record a track about her murder, Kim just freaked out. We only made up a couple of weeks and then I showed her the song, and she ran out of the house like she was scalded, ”Eminem told Rolling Stone magazine.

At the time, Kim and Eminem lived in a terribly dangerous neighborhood. One day, Kim was nearly hit by a stray bullet while she was washing dishes: “The place we lived in was fucking shitty. In the two years that we lived there, I changed four TVs and five tape recorders.

First marriage

The couple married in 1999, before Eminem left with Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and many other popular rappers on the infamous "Up In Smoke" tour.

Kim later explained that the main reason for this marriage was her desire to keep Eminem "on a short leash" during the tour in order to save the family. Naturally, at this stage of their lives, this attempt was fruitless.

While it's not clear exactly what went on between Kim and Eminem after their first marriage in 1999, it's safe to say that there was a complete mess.

In an interview with Dr. Keith Eblow, Kim said that by taking her alter ego on tour with him, Eminem destroyed her self-esteem to the point that she even attempted suicide in 2000. “Watching the crowd sing along to these monstrous words, laughing and clapping… it felt like they were all looking at me… I knew he was singing about me… that night I came home and tried to kill myself.”

She also added that the fame made Marshall a "tidbit" for other women, and she felt miserable and rejected because of it. “When his first tour started, that's when his ego came out. He imagined himself to be God and said that I should say thank you that he still communicates with me at all, like you know how many women hang on me. It all made me feel like a piece of shit."

Second marriage

The couple's first marriage broke up in 2001, but despite this, thanks to the joint custody of their common daughter, Hailey, they kept in touch. After regular quarrels and reconciliations, in 2006, Kim and Eminem decided to get married again. Kim explained that the second marriage was a celebration of the 15th anniversary of their relationship: “We decided to get married on January 14th. Marshall wanted this because it was the 15th anniversary of our first date. I remember I said then: "Let's just have a ceremony, without official marriage." Because I was afraid of what might happen to our children if we went through a divorce again. And then 41 days later, on February 25, Marshall left." Although the second marriage was doomed, it was after him that the couple began to build friendly relations for the sake of their little daughter Haley.

Other relationships

After her first marriage to Eminem ended in divorce, Kim met a man named Eric Hatter, with whom she had a daughter, Whitney, in 2002. When she and Marshall reconciled, Whitney was unofficially adopted by him. In his 2005 interview, Eminem very affectionately admits that he is "just in love with this sweet and funny girl."

Kim's twin sister Dawn

Kim and her sister had better life after running away from alcoholic parents at age 13. In addition, they themselves suffered from addiction. Unfortunately, unlike Kim, who was able to overcome alcohol and drug addiction, her sister did not succeed, she died of an overdose in January 2016.

Although there is no information about exactly when Dawn's addiction problems began, it is known that her daughter Alaina was in the care of Kim and Marshall from an early age due to her mother's inability to care for her - a sad fact, which we will discuss in more detail in next section. In 2014, Dawn's addiction to heroin, cocaine, Aderal and Klonopin turned her into a bum. The woman wandered through rented apartments with friends until she found a room in a Detroit trailer park, on 8 Mile Road.

Months before her death, Dawn told Radar Online that during her most difficult times, Kim and Marshall refused to help her: “My brother-in-law is a millionaire, my sister has money to hell, but they refuse to help me. This is a betrayal. Mathers has been a member of our family since he was 15!”

Dawn in her trailer is believed to have overdosed on heroin.

Despite the fact that Dawn condemned her sister for not helping her, and helping, especially financially, a dependent person always entails trouble. But, of course, Kim took care of her sister. After her death, Kim wrote a touching obituary: “Dawn was my favorite sister who went astray. I hold a candle for her in the hope that she will find her way back to me. I miss and love her more than anyone in the world. I wish she was here so I could hug her and tell her how much I love her. The other half of me left with her and I will never feel whole again. She always made me laugh and helped keep me going. She was the best sister, friend and I will miss her until we are together again."

Adopted daughter Alaina

Kim's sister's drug problems led Kim and Marshall to legally adopt her daughter in 2002. Alaina, who grew up with Hailey and is now 23, seems to have grown into a happy, healthy, young girl raised by Kim and Marshall.

suicide attempt

In the last couple of years, Kim's name has been popping up in a story that has been very heavily covered in the media. On October 7, 2015, Kim Mathers was involved in a car accident while drunk driving.

The police, of course, arrived at the scene of the accident and began to ask passers-by how it happened. One eyewitness said, “I heard a big bang, boom! And I thought, what was that? Everyone waited by the car until they found out who was in it. It was Kim Mathers - Eminem's ex-wife. She was able alcohol intoxication. According to her, she drank a whole quint of rum in broad daylight.

One of the reasons why many curious dirty laundry enthusiasts have shown great interest in this story is that the Kim suicide case itself and court documents were hidden from prying eyes.

Later, Eminem's ex-wife admitted that she tried to commit suicide by getting into a car while intoxicated and intentionally trying to get into a fairly serious accident. In May 2016, Kimberly spoke about this in an interview for Mojo in the Morning. During the conversation, she explained why the documents in the court case regarding the accident were closed, insisting that it was not because of privileged treatment, but only because the papers contained medical information about her suicide attempt. Regarding the accident and suicide attempt, Kim said that she planned the accident and collision in advance so that there would be no injuries, and admitted that she mixed alcohol and drugs before getting behind the wheel of her Cadillac Escalade SUV.

“I got to the end of the road where I was sure that no one but me would get hurt,” Kim explained. - "Yes, I drank, took pills, and I stepped on the gas and sent the car into a pole."

The very reason why Kim decided to commit suicide, she did not tell. But she said that during this difficult period for her (after the death of her sister and after this accident), Eminem supported her very well. "He was a big support during this time," she said of her ex-husband. “We are very close friends. We just try together to be the best parents for our children so that their life is as normal as possible.”

At the end of 2016, Kim was convicted. The process lasted for many months and was kept secret from the people. Kim Mathers was given a suspended sentence for drunk driving, which caused an accident on the road. She was placed on a one-year probation, which included drug and alcohol testing and observation, which began on November 22, 2016. The probation ends in March 2018.

Revival

Whatever Kim's life is, it's not for us to judge it or stick our nose into personal affairs. Kim is an important part of Eminem's life. She greatly influenced him and was reflected in his work.

Despite all the hardships Kim has gone through, she has dedicated herself to being the best parent she can possibly be, and her beautiful daughters are a testament to that.

On his track "Bad Husband" from the album "Revival", Eminem laments the end of his relationship with Kim. "If she could take it all back, I would have done so many things differently."

"We are not bad people We just don't feel good together"

I welcome guests and regular readers of the site website. In this article I will talk about the producer, composer and one of the most popular rappers of all time. So, on October 17, 1972, the world saw the light for the first time in St. Marshall Bruce Mathers III.

He was the only child of Deborah R. Mathers-Briggs and Marshall Bruce Mathers, Jr. Eminem's father left the family when he was about a year and a half old, the boy grew up in poverty and was raised by his mother. The family often moved from one locality to another. Marshall was 12 years old when he finally settled in east Detroit with his mother. And here the future rapper got into trouble with black peers.

In the fourth grade, a schoolboy was terrorized every day by a certain high school student. The school had to change every few months. Eminem had no one to be friends with, it was hard to study and not get into trouble.

In the winter of 1983, the boy was severely beaten, he lay in a coma for ten days. A year after the incident, Mathers and his mother returned to Kansas City. There, the future celebrity met Ronald Nelson, his mother's brother, with whom the guy clearly became friends. Ronnie was a fan of rap music and recorded several of his cassettes for his nephew.

In 1987, an uncle brought young Marshall an Ice T "Reckless" cassette, which changed little Eminem's idea of rap and inspired him to become one of the performers of this genre of music.

Already at the age of 13, the young man begins to record his music and is so fond of this business that he could not live a single day without it. As a result, the future artist already at school gained a reputation as a capable rapper. At the same time, the pseudonym Eminem appeared, formed from the first letters of his first and last name.

Despite the incessant attacks of blacks, our hero still participated in battles (rap competitions) and gradually began to win public recognition. In the early stages, Eminem's best friend Proof played a huge role in the development of Eminem as a rapper.

Marshall really didn't like this prejudice that a white man couldn't be a rapper. The guy had to work hard so that people stopped noticing his skin color.

Eminem dropped out of ninth grade after five retakes of his transfer exams. Mom was extremely unhappy with this. She told her son to go to work and help her pay the bills, otherwise she would throw him out of the house. And Marshall went to make money.

He was a seasonal worker, waiter and cook in a restaurant. The owner of the restaurant recalled that he was a good worker, only constantly rapping, shoving everything into the text, down to the dishes listed on the menu. I had to yell at him to do it quietly - the restaurant was a family one. In particular, the 17-year-old rapper performed in live at night on one of the local radio stations.

In 1996, Eminem recorded his first album "Infinite", which went unnoticed due to the oversaturation of Detroit with hip-hop. Moreover, he was even accused of copying the style of other rappers. An independent studio who contacted him sold just over 1,000, destroyed the remainder of the run, and broke with him.
However, the victory came from an unexpected quarter. Eminem took several cassettes of what would become "The Real Slim Shady LP" to Los Angeles studios. Legend has it that Doctor Dre, a singer and one of the top rap producers, found the tape on the floor of Interscore chief Jimmy Iovine's garage. Both of them listened to the recording. Dr. Dre was impressed by what he heard. And he asked me to immediately find this "guy".

"Slim Shady" was born unexpectedly. Once Eminem practiced in front of a mirror and tried to rhyme his pseudonym, but it turned out badly. And then he picked up the first thing that was spinning in his head: "Slim Shady", the vile bastard, the dark side of the performer's soul. It was like a revelation. Album "The Slim Shady LP" produced the effect of an exploding bomb. Firstly, because of the exceptional talent of a little-known performer. Secondly, because of the color of his skin. And, thirdly, because of the completely extreme content of the record.

However, Eminem's sharp and controversial lyrics began to cause controversy. Some believed that the musician reveals social sores, others believed that he incites hatred towards certain categories (gays, women and people in general). Some found him bold and witty, others - narrow-minded and rude. The rapper himself claims that he does not try to do something that shocks people, moreover, he does not strive to become the second.

Life has taught Marshall to endure hardship and work hard. Eminem was able to find himself and his style in music. With strong will and a strong desire to reach the top, the rapper continued his work and became one of the most successful and popular rap artists in the world.

Article prepared by resource "How Celebrities Have Changed"

Eminem captivated the listener in many ways by the fact that he did not hesitate to tell personal and even intimate stories from his life.

Including those that concerned his closest people. Let's remember them by name.

Mother

Deborah Nelson is probably the main irritant for our hero. Having encroached on the main American virtue - love for his own mother - he was known as the number one troublemaker in the United States. In his songs, the mother appears to be extremely addicted to alcohol and drugs, and in the film "8 Mile" her heroine has sex with a classmate of the protagonist. Deborah did not remain in debt and filed a lawsuit against her son - the amount of the claim was $ 10 million.

Quote from the song:"Mom, are you there? I love you. I didn't mean to hit you on the head with a shovel" (Role Model).

In the song "Role Model" Eminem violates almost all the norms of American morality (including speaking badly about his mother), and in 2009 he recorded a song that puts all the dots in their relationship.

Father

Marshall Bruce Mathers. That's all we know about him: when the son was one and a half years old, the parent left the family, which offense the rapper still remembers to this day.

Quote from the song:“He left me and I don’t even know if he kissed me goodbye. Even then, I secretly hoped that this goat would die” (Cleanin Out My Closet)

"Cleanin Out My Closet" - a statement on the topic of all members of the Marshall family at once: mother, Kim, and father got it.

Wife

Kim Eminem met his future wife at the age of 15. At 27, he got married, then divorced and repeated the whole procedure again. In between this, he got on the pages of the tabloids for throwing himself at his wife's boyfriend with a gun, and at the same time attended court hearings, finding out what he said about Kim in his songs, that when she heard them, she tried to open her veins .

Quote from the song:"So long - bitch, so long you hurt me! I don't want to continue to live in this world without you" (Kim).

Marshall wrote the very first song about Kim for his debut album "Infinity": in it, he and his daughter are carrying Kim's corpse in a car. The second is also related to the automotive theme: a heavily drunk Eminem hero takes Kim away into the night, promising to "return her in the trunk."

Daughter

Eminem is raising two daughters: in addition to Hayley Jade Mathers, Lainie, the daughter of Kim's sister, is under his care. Haley herself is now 16 years old, latest news about her was that last year she appeared on Twitter. There are no photos of condoms yet, but there are, for example, pictures with a bottle of vodka.

Quote from the song:"My God, I'm a father, and I'm so glad that this girl's mom didn't have an abortion" (Hailey's Song).

On the album "The Eminem Show" there are two whole songs about Hayley: in one of them Marshall appears as a loving father, in the other he ironically over the prevailing opinion about him as a drug addict and a dangerous pervert who should not be allowed near children.

Uncle

"Uncle Ronnie" was only two months older than Marshall himself and remained his best friend in childhood (it was he who gave the future rapper his first hip-hop album - the soundtrack to the movie Breaking). When Marshall was 19, Ronnie committed suicide. According to Eminem himself, he wanted to do the same, but then decided, on the contrary, to change something in his life. Ronnie's name is found only in a few of his songs, he is reluctant to talk about this topic.

Quote from the song:"Remember, when Ronnie died, you said that it would be better if it was me. So: for you, I'm deader than all the dead" (Cleanin "Out My Closet").

"I know about your uncle and I feel sorry for you," a fan writes to Em in one of his most famous songs. In addition, Ronnie's name is mentioned in two or three more tracks.

Eminem (Marshall Mathers III) was born near Kansas on October 17
1974. On that day, the world did not yet suspect that this little
the screaming baby will be the one who will change the world of hip-hop forever. For
he was, in fact, a burden to his parents, as they constantly quarreled
and did not have a permanent place of residence, moving from place to place.

A couple of months after the birth of the boy, his father, having quarreled with
Eminem's mother, Debbie Mathers, finally, with a loud scandal, left
home, leaving mother and child alone, without any means of subsistence.
The nomadic lifestyle continued and little Eminem along with his mother
traveled in a trailer from Missouri to Michigan. There, after all,
his mother settled in Detroit, in its very backyards. Boy old
life seemed like a nightmare, he couldn't go to school, he didn't have
friends. His only friend then was his 15-year-old uncle Ronnie,
who introduced Eminem to rap by giving him a cassette in 1987
"Rhyme Pays" Ice-T. And then little Marshall, impressed by the tough
recitative, decides to devote himself to rap.

But here in Detroit, his life has become even worse than before. He lived in
area of the 8th Mile - the road that separated the "black" suburb of Detroit from its
"white" center. The white boy had a very hard time here considering
that he and his mother were the only whites in the whole neighborhood, with the exception of two
half-crazy bikers who live next door. Eminem's mother is
the situation was not at all embarrassing, especially since she sat all day
at home, sipping ecstasy and living on welfare. But little Eminem
had a very hard time. With his arrival at the school, permanent
skirmishes with black teenagers, among which Marshall looked like a white
crow. He was constantly attacked in the streets, beaten. Eminem
recalls a case when a tinted car slowed down next to him and
a pair of niegorv in it showed the boy the middle finger, to which Eminem
answered them the same. The car stopped and a nigga jumped out of it with
he gave the boy a swing in the jaw and drew his gun. Eminem thinking that
this is an ordinary street robbery, got scared, pulled off his sneakers (the most
expensive thing he had) and ran away. And the next day, finding sneakers
in the same place, he realized that the matter here was precisely in the color of the skin. This
the specter of eternal black racism haunted him almost all his life. At school
skirmishes with black teenagers became constant. Eminem says that
once on the basketball court he was beaten half to death and he
After that, he lay in a coma for 5 days in a local hospital. Right there in the school
he had the worst enemy, whom he later recalled in the song
Brain damage. Everything in this song, except for the last lines, is pure
Truth. DiAngelo Bailey, sixth grader and the most unruly type in
school, once beat up Eminem in the school toilet, bashing his head on
toilet. Then Bailey called his friends and they joined in the beating
Marshall. And he had to hold his breath for five whole minutes to
the enemies thought they beat him to death. And the next time it's the same
DiAngelo beat Eminem on the ice rink, banging his head on the ice, and
continued until the future rapper bled from his ears. Eminem co
angrily recalls this enemy of his, ridiculed him in several of his
songs. A few years later, when Eminem was already famous and
popular, DiAngelo will sue him for insulting him in songs,
but this claim will be denied.

In the meantime, Eminem, without even dreaming of fame, continues to live in black
quarters of Eight Mile. He began reading his first recitative at school,
participating in impromptu battles held in the backyard. From
he almost always came out the winner - even niggas couldn't argue
with his artistry and ingenious rhymes. That's where Eminem and
became friends with Proof, the future head of D12. Proof by that time already
established himself as an up and coming battle MC, and
she and Eminem clashed in a freestyle duel in the school cafeteria.
The battle took place on tables pushed together, and none of them could
win. From that day on, they became friends and soon became the best
friends. After that, Eminem made some more true friends.
Among the nigers.

But this popularity was deceptive. In larger battles, already outside
walls of the school, Eminem was received with contemptuous exclamations: “Hey you, white
motherfucker, get out and play your rock 'n' roll! It really hurt the young
MC, but he tried to ignore it and continued to read in
local battles. It was then that he came up with the name "Eminem" for himself, beating
their initials MM. He began to gain popularity among niggas, conquering
them with his charismatic and lively recitative. A cat on a battle one day
told him: "And you're cool for a white man!" and Eminem took it as the highest
praise. However, after a while, such words began to anger him.
He didn't ask to be born white or black, he's just the way he is.
he is, and believed that nothing could be tied to skin color. most
he began to consider the words of another niger as the highest praise: “I don't care,
green or orange, this dude is cool!”.

When Eminem was kicked out of ninth grade for failing, his mother
I was only delighted and immediately sent my son to work. Eminem at work
cook and waiter at a local diner, while trying to work
promoting his rap career. By that time, Proof had already become prominent
a bump in local battles, in which he invariably won, after which
he was elected to the post of leader of the battles. This gave him local popularity
and some association with small record labels. And he agreed to help.
Eminem in his first recording. The cassette was called Soul Intent, the recording was
done but had no success. These three tracks have never been
sale. In parallel with this, Proof created the D12 group, to which
Eminem joined in and together they recorded a few more tracks,
subsequently combined into the compilation "D12 Underground EP". So is Eminem
participated in young bands Basement Productions and New Jacks.
Eminem continued to win battles, where Proof invited him, but soon
he decided to grow because he believed that the reputation of only a battle MC did not
bring him real money. And the money was badly needed. By that time
he has already moved in with his young wife Kimberly in a separate trailer,
and they reaped the child, but there was no money. Rap has become the only option
earn. It was during this period, in 1996, that Eminem recorded his
the first solo album, in the recording of which the same Proof, Kon Atis from
D12 and a DJ from the same place - DJ Head. This album was called Infinite, but not
had no success, although Eminem performed it with feeling and humor.
The failure of the album threw Eminem into despair. Something had to be done. They
with Kim constantly moved, because in each of their houses constantly
someone broke in and robbed them. When Eminem's daughter Hailey was born
Marshall and Kim began saving money for her college education. They
managed to save almost a thousand dollars, but someone again robbed them and took them away
this money. This was the last straw. Kim was hysterical, Eminem was in
despair. And besides, during the same period, his uncle Ronnie shot himself because of
failed love, and this "killed" Eminem even more. He decided to use
last chance to go to the annual big battle in Los Angeles - Rap
Olympics. Previously, he recorded a small cassette "Slim Shady EP" and
went to battle with her. By sending the cassette along with the demos of others
young talents in the Interscope label, he joined the battle. And lost
him, taking second place. Someone from the crowd yelled: “No! Give away the prize
white! Reward that white man!” and it hurt Eminem even more.
The prize was $500 and a roller, and life seemed like a life for the young rapper.
ended after this loss. He returned to the rented room and
fell into a deep depression, began to take drugs.
Meanwhile, according to rumors, the famous producer and legendary rapper Dr.
Dre accidentally found an Eminem tape on the floor of the Interscope boss's garage
Jimmy Yovina. After listening to the recording, Dre was delighted. "For all my
career, - says Dre, - I have not met anything worth
demo cassettes. When Jimmy played this one, I said, "Find him
immediately".

The character Slim Shady first appeared on this tape. Eminem himself
says that he has three entities. One is Marshall Mathers,
and his songs are sad and lyrical. The second is Eminem, this is a vicious hard
a rapper who spews the truth and scourges enemies. The third one is Slim Shady
hooligan essence of Eminem, in which he splashes out all the madness,
black humor and satirical idiocy. Slim is a crazy ghost
who says what everyone thinks and does not dare to say it. Slim
never bothers about political correctness and sexual
discrimination - he says whatever he wants (and this has repeatedly delivered
problems for Eminem). Dre found Eminen, literally saved his life, because
Eminem was already on the verge of suicide. And Eminem gladly accepted
offer. Soon he signed a contract with Aftermath Records and released
his first album - The Slim Shady LP - extended and improved version
ep. Dre also contributed to the album, singing with Eminem on Guilty.
Conscience. This song made a splash, not to mention other tracks.
The world exploded in waves of protest and love. Some condemned the manner of Eminem
criticize so harshly and shamelessly, while others praised him to the skies
for such talent. The first question of journalists was, of course: “How do you
did you manage to break into black music while being white? Eminem at first
answered such questions, but then he began to get angry and in the end
publicly threatened not to ask him the question.
Shortly before the recording of the first album, Eminem had a lot of problems with
personal life. One day he saw his wife leaving a bar and
shares a friendly kiss with his buddy John Guerra goodbye.
Eminem flared up and, drawing a gun, put it to the temple of "lover",
threatening not to approach Kim. Someone called the police, and the patrol
arrested everyone, including Kim, who began to curse the cops. John is here
filed a lawsuit, and Eminem was accused of possession of an unregistered
weapons and in an armed attack. This despite the fact that Em's gun
was not loaded.

And a little later, Eminem caught Kim with her lover, and the spouses with a creepy
parted with scandal and shouting. Eminem, rushing to court, managed faster
Kim to get custody of his daughter Hailey and thereby achieved
the right to see her daughter as much as she wants, when she wants. But mental trauma
yet remained in his soul. He could never forgive Kim for her infidelity,
he truly loved her, and never stopped loving her, even
ten years later. But more on that later…
And in his first album, he recorded the song Bonnie & Clyde, in which the father
together with a little daughter went to the lake to dump the body of the murdered
mothers from the bridge. This song shocked everyone, all the more shocked by the fact
that Eminem got his daughter mixed up in his crazy songs.
The time of wild popularity began. Eminem immediately got thousands
crazy fans who were ready for anything for him. They besieged
his house day and night in pursuit of an autograph, he could not walk quietly
down the street - a crowd of fans immediately rushed to him, rolled up
journalists. This began to anger the rapper, and on his second album under
title The Marshall Mathers LP (2000) was a very emotional
the song The Way I Am, in which he told how he got this
hyper fame. He dreamed of a prosperous life, but did not want to
become an idol. There were heaps of teenagers who, having heard enough
song hooliganism Slim Shady, got guns and began to open
school shootings, started jumping off bridges, and so on. Lawsuits rained down
lawsuits from angry parents who blamed the white rapper for everything.
Eminem just didn’t know how to explain to the people that all these hooliganism
in his songs - only an allegory, and a person is just crazy if he starts
perceive songs as a guide to action. Released on the second album
the song Stan, which was about a crazy fan of Eminem,
who wrote letters to him and, having received no answer, sent the car off the bridge,
having previously taken with him his pregnant girlfriend. Song
impressed many (especially since the chorus was from Dido), but there were
after all, the next psychos - the case is known as one of the fans
committed suicide absolutely according to the scenario of the video for the song Stan.
Also on this album was the song Kim, which was kind of a prehistory
to the story of the song Bonnie & Clyde - it depicted a hysterical and very
an intense fight scene between Kim and Marshall, followed by the murder of Kim and her
lover by Em himself. This song shocked not only the public, but
and Kim herself, whom this track drove to suicide. Still, she was kicked out
and she sued her ex-husband. Just as suddenly, the father appeared
Eminem, who called his son and asked for a meeting. But Eminem doesn't even
wanted to talk to him, but sent him to hell through his manager.
The resentment was too strong.

And the glory grew and grew. Countless interviews, photo shoots,
television invitations. Dre just smiled softly as he looked at him.
protégé is gaining momentum. Eminem has been working tirelessly on new tracks.
He published his Detroit old songs on Unreleased albums
Collection and Off The Wall, took part in a big battle with
Proof and other up-and-coming (and already famous) stars like Xzibit,
Kid Rock and Notorious B.I.G.. Parallel to Eminem, realizing that he had
now enough forces, called the good old D12 from Detroit, and released
with them their first album is Devil`s Night. This gave a furious
popularity to all members of D12. Many still believe that the main
group - Eminem ... Then followed Eminem's mega-popular album - The
Eminem show. The album was full of lively, sometimes aggressive lyrics, but all
same, according to tradition, had autobiographical tracks. One of them was
Cleanin Out My Closet where Eminem talked about his mother
which he always hated. In this song, she appeared vile
an old woman who eats pills and makes her son work for her. Generally,
so it was. Eminem has insulted his mother in his songs before, and
Debbie sued him for $10 million,
citing the fact that Eminem's songs "plunged her into an emotional
stress, damaged her reputation and caused her to lose her sense of
own dignity." Protracted litigation
ended in her defeat - the court considered that all the claims of the mother to her son
can be valued at $25,000, of which Debbie had to pay $23,000
pay your lawyer. And the song Cleanin Out My Closet finally
got her.

After this album, Eminem was bombarded with nominations for various
music awards. Em went on a big European tour with D12. A
then began shooting the first film with Eminem - "8 Mile". This movie
was almost biographical, describing the youth of a white boy who
trying to gain respect and a place in the sun at local battles.
Along with Eminem, many masters of rap starred in this film, including
Xzibit, DJ Head, Obie Trice and Proof. IN real life Proof led the battles,
so he became the inspiration for a character called Future. And Proof himself
played rapper Lil Tic, who just smashed Eminem on the wall at the beginning
film with his recitative. Eminem played his role just brilliant, she
brought him numerous awards, including an Oscar for Lose Yourself,
as the best song for the film.

Then came a long period of half-asleep creativity, but active
public life. Numerous concerts and interviews continued.
Eminem had already fledged and Dre was no longer producing him. Em did it myself
founded his own label - Shady Records under the auspices of Interscope and Aftermath.
Eminem set about promoting new talent - took control
patronage of 50 Cent, Hush and the most talented rapper Obie Trice.
In parallel with this, Eminem launched his clothing line, and again
took up D12, and very soon their second album, D12 World, was released,
literally shocked the audience with his aggression and black humor, as well as
outright sexism. Everyone knows the song My Band, where the group is ironic and with
humorously tells about the complex relationships between its members. Also Em
started promoting Young Zee.

A new album, Straight From The Lab, was being prepared for release, but already recorded
pirates stole the first five tracks and started distributing them through
Internet. Em was very angry about this and he released this album, filling it with
(except these five tracks) remixes of old songs, refusing
keep working on the album. But something amazing awaited the audience
- a new album called Encore. It was an amazing mega project,
songs simply radiated novelty and new finds of style. Of course, Eminem
could not do without provocations, and for the song Mosh they turned on him
the attention of American intelligence agencies. Their vicious attention intensified after
track of the same album - We As Americans, where Eminem openly alludes to
that he would rather see Bush dead. There were also songs about
the old - turned to Kim, all the same impudent. But the public is already
got to the core of Eminem for a long time - everyone already understood that he was still in love with
his ex-wife. And she understood that too. They are known to regularly
communicated, met, and communication took place calmly and in a friendly manner.
Encore, of course, featured 50 Cent, Obie Trice, new friend Shady
Records - Stat Quo, G Funk star Nate Dogg, and of course Dre himself.
Other albums followed, of which When I`m Gone stands out,
where Eminem once again refers to his daughter Hailey in the song. And in
the song of the same name, it was already clear that Eminem was apologizing to his wife
and seek peace with her. And shortly after that, Eminem remarried Kim! This
The happy event shocked everyone. At a wedding, as a witness
Proof spoke. But ... not even a couple of months passed, as the newlyweds again
divorced, unable to withstand the increased conflicts. Eminem had a hard time
to hurt his daughter again, who dreamed of a reunion
parents, but Em stated that he would never marry again.
And very soon after that, there was one more tragedy in Eminem's life.
- in one of the bars of the 8th Mile, Proof was killed. The rapper had a very hard time
loss best friend and chapter D12. And very soon he was able to return to rap.
Eminem's recent grandiose brainchild was The Re-Up. Eminem on it
- again full of life, optimism and rage. The album is notable for
Eminem's new protégés, Bobby Creekwater and
Cashis. Eminem did not forget to honor the memory of the deceased Proof.
Throughout his ten-year career as a global rapper, Eminem
participated in the tracks of so many celebrities. It was to list them
would be very long, I will name only the most-most: Xzibit. B.I.G, Dr Dre, Snoop
Dogg, Nate Dogg, Busta Rhymes… It was Eminem who organized and paid for
recording two albums Obie Trice and the album Stat Quo, and also made
celebrity unknown Trick Trick. Throughout his career,
Eminem had dozens of beefs, dozens of enemies: Benzino, Ja Rule, Canibus,
Linp Bizkit, Everlast and many other little things like Britney Spears and
Christina Aguilera. There were always enough envious people. Genius always has
envious and admirers. Genius has the gift to change this world. AND
Eminem bears the title of rap genius with honor.

Eminem family

Eminem Born October 17, 1972 in Kansas City, Missouri. The family was poor. His parents - Deborah Nelson Mathers-Briggs (Mother) and Marshall Bruce Mathers Jr. (Father), were engaged in performances in a show group that gave performances in various taverns. After the birth of his son, a few months later, his father left the family and Small child stayed with his mother.

Eminem as a child

His Mom's name was Debbie, and together they lived in an ordinary trailer and constantly traveled from Missouri to Michigan. When you are intertwined from place to place, it is very difficult to find permanent friends. And his only friend was his beloved uncle Ronnie. Ultimately, it was his uncle who pushed the future star into the path of a rapper. Ronnie gave him a Rhyme Pays record in 1987 and after listening to Eminem realized that this is exactly what he needs. When the teenager was 12 years old, they, along with Mom, decided to settle in Detroit, somewhere in the black quarter. There were two crazy bikers next door to them.

Life in Detroit was not easy, the teenager constantly had problems with local guys.

“Once I was returning home from a friend,” recalls Eminem. “Then three black guys drove past me in a car. They showed me the finger, I answered them, well, that's all. But they stopped the car... One came up and hit me in the face so that I fell. Then he pulled out a gun. I literally jumped out of my shoes. I thought they needed sneakers. But they did not need sneakers: when I returned the next day, I found them in the same place, stuck in the mud.

At school, he also had enough enemies, well, for example, a teenager who was two grades older, his name is DiAngelo Bailey.

“I was in the fourth and he was in the sixth,” recalls Eminem. “One day he came to the toilet while I was there. He hit me in the back with such force that I fell down.”

Bailey had friends, one of them was younger than Bailey. One day Eminem laughed at him, he in turn came up and knocked him down, and then began to bang his head on the ice, and when Eminem bled from his ear, he passed out, and Bailey ran away. As a result, he spent 5 days in a coma.

His high school life ended with him simply dropping out of school in the 9th grade after failing to retake his exams in five attempts. And then the Mother said to him: "Get out into the street and help me pay the bills or I will throw you out of the house." And he went looking for a job.

Eminem music career

He found work in a restaurant, where he was a cook and a waiter. The owner of the restaurant was pleased with his work, but he constantly reminded him that he should not rap so much, because this is a family restaurant, or at least do it quietly.

Some time passes and Eminem begins to participate in real rap competitions, where, according to eyewitnesses, he had an impressive success. At the same time, he met his future wife and the mother of his child - Kimberly Scott. They lived in the same trailer where he spent his childhood. They were often robbed. One of the thieves was not entirely rational, the first time he sneaked into the house he did not take anything, but left them a peanut butter sandwich, but the second time he pulled out almost everything except the bed and the couch.

When the future artist was 19 years old, grief happened - his beloved uncle Ronnie committed suicide, shot himself with a shotgun. And then, in desperation, he records the disc "Infinite". She was of little interest to anyone, one studio contacted him, which sold a little more than 1000 copies, and then broke up with the rapper. He had no money left at all and sometimes friends bought him clothes.

The only hope for survival was the rappers' tournament - Rap Olympics, which was held in Los Angeles. The day before leaving for the tournament, he went to the trailer and found a note about eviction for not paying taxes.

“I had to kick down the door,” he says. “I had nowhere else to go. There was no heating, no water, no electricity. I slept on the floor, woke up and drove to Los Angeles. I was in complete shit.”

The tournament was never won. His manager at the time was Paul Rosenberg, who now recalls him sitting on the floor and some black guy yelling, “White guy prize! Give the prize to a white man!”, it seemed to his manager that a little more and Eminem would burst into tears.

And still he didn't give up! He got new plan. The rapper began distributing his cassettes to various studios, but this was a demo distribution. Subsequently, the music that was there was called "The Real Slim Shady LP". And one day, Doctor Dre himself finds one such cassette on the garage floor. After listening to this cassette, he was amazed.

“In my entire career,” says Dre, “I haven't seen anything worthwhile on demo tapes. When Jimmy played this one, I said, "Find him immediately."

Ultimately Eminem and Dr. Dre started working together. They later decided that the songs from the Slim Shady EP needed to be re-released. Thus, the official album "The Slim Shady LP" (1999) was born. This album was a huge success.

Eminem's second album was released in "The Marshall Mathers LP" in 2000, which was also a very big success. In 2001, at the Grammy-2001, he received as many as three awards, despite the fact that the Gay and Lesbian Association prevented this in every possible way. Then, in the summer of 2002, another album called The Eminem Show was released. Subsequently, he was awarded diamond status. This year eminem and 50 cent start to cooperate. 50 cent himself got to Eminem through his lawyer.

Autumn 2004 Eminem releases another album - "Encore". Interestingly, this album did not end up winning any awards, but it still had a good success. In 2005, there were rumors about the death of the rapper's career, the artist himself released a collection of his best songs, where he added 3 more new tracks (FACK, Shake That, When I'm Gone). Further, he appears only in songs where he sings in campaigns with other rappers. And in 2007, he leaves show business for about a year and a half.

In the winter of 2009, he returns. Together with Sept. 50 and Dre, he releases a new track "Crack a bottle", which in turn soars to the very top of the Billboard Chart in just a few weeks.

In 2010, a new album called "Recovery" was born. It was an immediate success, topping the US charts. Subsequently, the album received a "gold" status, and later all sorts of singles and awards followed.

Eminem in the movies

first time with movie eminem had an affair in the TV series Talking Dolls (2002), where he voiced a character named Billy Fletcher. Later in the same year, the autobiographical film "8 Mile" (2002) was released, where Eminem played the role of a poor rapper named "rabbit". The film was a very good success, and the song Lose Yourself from the film's soundtrack earned a whole Oscar. The film itself grossed $242 million at the worldwide box office, when the film's budget was only $41 million.

Though Films with Eminem rarely appear on screens, but it is known that a couple of film projects are already planned for the future where they would like to see Eminem.
